Common uses: Camping food, backpacking food, snacks, and quick-and-easy cooking at home. Like many of our other air dried vegetables, these carrots are often used in veggie trail mixes, as a side dish, and in soups, stews, casseroles, and salads.
Packaging: Bagged selections are in resealable poly bags. Bulk box orders use sealed plastic bag inside sturdy cardboard box.
GMO free: Our partner growers and processors have assured us of no genetically modified crops. Please note we do not perform laboratory testing to verify this.
Easy to Prepare
- Use alone as a dry snack or add to veggie trail mixes.
- Add dry carrots while slow cooking soups, stews, chilies, and other foods with sufficient liquid content.
- For most other applications, hydrate using 1 part dry carrots and 4.5 parts water.
- Bring to a boil.
- Then simmer 10 minutes.
- Add additional water if needed.
Yield — 1 oz equals about 1/4 cup dry. Doubles in volume when hydrated.
Storage — Best if used within 18 months. Store tightly sealed in a dry location away from sunlight.
