The delicious aroma upon opening the bag is a preview of the flavor. I soak these shallots in my beef, chicken or vegetable stock while making the roux. I have NBT's air dried white onion and minced garlic, which are both excellent, but the shallots give a delicate flavor to certain dishes. In addition to that, I don't have to run to the grocery, peel them or even get out the knife! Highly recommended.

Once I opened the bag I got a sniff of shallot perfection. Ultra fresh high grade product. I will be buying this the rest of my life - IT IS THAT GOOD.
It is also very convenient. Trying to find fresh high grade shallots in stores can be difficult and expensive for what you get. But, with this product, you have ultra fresh high quality shallots all of the time.
In addition to cooking with it, can grind it up a little to sprinkle on food.

These are so handy and tasty it's not even funny! I love throwing some into my Indian or Thai dishes and these are a nice alternative to standard white onions. This dried version stores very well so I avoid wasting money and food. Great product, will definitely buy again!

I love to use shallots in my cooking, but they're so expensive fresh in stores. The flavor of these dehydrated shallots is excellent and It's so easy to add them to whatever I'm cooking, I'm not even going bother buying them fresh anymore.
