Tasty toddler snackReview by an adventurous toddlerWe've been using NBT freeze-dried fruits & veg as snacks for our daughter since a 22-day road trip last summer at age 1... highly recommend! We were able to use food to stave off bored toddler meltdowns WITHOUT making a huge mess in the car or feeding her nutritionless rice puffs for 3 weeks straight, and now at home I can give her an unprocessed snack with zero effort. We always have a couple little tupperware of freeze dried treats in the diaper bag. We mixed these cherry dices in with other small dice fd fruits (apricots, apples, pear, etc) in a baby fruit salad / trail mix which she loves. Note that they're smaller than cheerios and will escape "spill-proof" snack cups, and the runaway cherry bits WILL get wet and WILL stain something... stick to less deeply colored fruit if you have light carpet :)
Great cherry flavorReview by CarrieI used these to make a cherry jam and they had a wonderful fresh cherry taste. Organic cherries are impossible to find in my area so I plan on ordering more. I think this is a great product.
TastyReview by denise da nurseLove these cherry bits...these freeze dried fruits and veggies come in very handy in remote alaska where fresh fruits and veggies are sometimes difficult to come by and long term storage is limited.
Tiny and sweetReview by BeaVery small chopped pieces but sweet and tasty! I think they have a nice cherry flavor and not sour at all. They are a great cereal, baking, and jam addition.
cereal toppingReview by Nancy AI love to top my morning cereal with a healthy serving of freeze dried fruit.... not only taste great, but its good for me too!
Natural Pop Rocks candy packed with anthocyaninsReview by MAEVery beautiful color but I don't taste a distinct cherry taste. Make great additions to almost anything.
Easy to Prepare
- Use dry as a healthy snack, as an addition to trail mixes, and as a crunchy topping for cereals and desserts.
- For most other applications, hydrate by soaking for 5 minutes in a generous amount of cold or hot water (hot water works slightly better). Then drain.
Yield — 1 oz equals about 1/2 cup dry with very low moisture content.
Rehydration Ratio — 1 lb of freeze dried diced organic cherries, once rehydrated, equals approximately 5 lbs of fresh prepared organic tart cherries.
Storage — Best if used within 24 months of purchase. Store tightly sealed while minimizing exposure to high humidity and heat.
