Great Taste

Shame on Me
I did not buy this product...YET!
I picked out a carrot slice from the veggie blend, just to try it out. It was exceptionally, naturally sweet. That's when I realized I missed out on a great product! It didn't dawn on me that the carrot slices might be a great addition to my snacks while traveling. Believe me, this won't happen again! Carrots, get ready to fly!

The most wonderful dried carrots
I originally bought these dried carrots for my pets because I couldn't find any pet treats that weren't mixed with something unhealthy. I liked the way that the carrots looked online and the fact that there were no additives. When the carrots arrived, the pets had to compete with me to get the treat! They are outstanding.

Awesome Carrot Taste
I added 1 cup of dried carrots with 1 cup of rice and 4 cups of water in my rice cooker. The carrots added so much flavor to the rice. I didn't need to add any seasoning. The carrots were tender and fresh with a hint of sweetness.

Fantastic product
These are the best dried carrots I have ever eaten! They taste fresh, and not like "tea": they are substantial slices, as the other reviewer said, not flakes, or tiny dices. They taste exactly like fresh carrots when rehydrated without cooking them. I am extremely pleased with my purchase, and will be ordering more. I ordered a 2.5 pound bag of carrots as a test, and it filled 4 quart jars.

Convenient Quality and Excellent Color and Flavor
These dried carrots are an excellent value for your pantry. Consistent size and color is very very very well preserved in the drying process (all that good nutrition isn't oxidized!) The other thing is the cut means these are not going to get lost in your recipe.

Very pleased with the quality of the carrots! These are lovely cross-cut slices. Beautiful big colorful pieces that expand and make for a hearty soup or stew: not tiny little flakes! These carrots are something you can actually bite! They come nicely packaged too!

Air Dried Carrots
Easy to Prepare
Add dry carrots while slow cooking soups, stews, chilies, and other foods with sufficient liquid content.
For most other applications, hydrate using 1 part dry carrots and 4.5 parts water.
Bring to a boil.
Then simmer 10-20 minutes.
Add additional water if needed.
Yield — 1 oz equals about 1/2 cup dry. Generally, air dried vegetables double in volume when hydrated.
Rehydration Ratio — 1 lb of air dried carrots, once rehydrated, equals approximately 4.5 lbs of fresh prepared cross cut carrots.
Storage — Best if used within 18 months. Store tightly sealed in a dry location away from sunlight.
