Tender lentils that don't get mushyReview by SuperI want to love lentils - as a nourishing whole food and a way to reduce but not eliminate meat consumption -
but I just don't care for the tooth-gritty feeling of many lentils. I bought every lentil offered on this site and am cooking my way through them. Still don't like split lentils (yellow, red, etc) but love black lentils and French green lentils - they stay whole and are tender/creamy when cooked. This French green lentil is awesome with fresh mint or cilantro and a homemade vinaigrette (and even better with a bit of sausage, for those who eat meat). My carnivore husband wanted this more than all meat options! No gritty creepy tooth feeling! Whoo. Winner winner lentil dinner.
Versatile and delicious!Review by JuanitaI made a lentil-based stuffing with these, and it was delicious. I shared some with my daughter, and she made burgers the whole family loved.
