    Freeze dried fruit smoothies
I have a small blender at the office. I put in one ripe banana, a good handful of freeze dried peaches or mangos and some freeze dried berries. Add whole milk and blitz. In a pinch, freeze dried banana can sub for fresh, but fresh is relatively easy to get year round. Yummy. I can also add greens or green powder.

    THE BEST teething toy/snack!
We've been using NBT freeze-dried fruits & veg as snacks for our daughter since a 22-day road trip last summer at age 1... highly recommend! We were able to use food to stave off bored toddler meltdowns WITHOUT making a huge mess in the car or feeding her nutritionless rice puffs for 3 weeks straight, and now at home I can give her an unprocessed snack with zero effort. We always have a couple little tupperware of freeze dried treats in the diaper bag. These peach slices are, hands down, our favorite. They're a perfect size for a grumpy teething babe/toddler to gnaw around on, they don't get things (terribly) sticky, they don't contain lead or BPA or whatever the current plastic chemical scare is, they're easy to keep on hand and in the diaper bag, they double as a snack for mom and kids... please please stock them again soon!

Peaches are my favorite fruit. Certainly these aren't exactly like biting into a juicy, fresh peach in July, but they're close enough that I'll be ordering them again!

    Very delicious
I had initially purchased a few bags of freeze dried fruits for business purposes and to add to my products but now I will definitely be having them as snacks because they are just delicious! I'm not much of a fresh fruit water solely because I don't like to chew on cold stuff, but these freeze dried snacks are just perfect. They are so full of flavor. The packaging was great, I received the products on time like it said upon purchase, and I'm very happy to be trading with a family owned business. Very happy with my purchase.

Unlike the other fruits and berries I've tried, this were tasteless dried and tasteless rehydrated. Just awful.

    Best tasting freeze-dried treat!
I LOVE freeze dried peaches. I think they're even better than the mangos. I only wish an organic option was available since the long term effects of pesticides are best avoided.

2 Recipes that work wonderfully with freeze dried fruit
    Super-Thick and Fruity Whipped Cream
From Serious Eats, Stella Parks , 2016
With a handful of freeze-dried fruit, you can make a whipped cream that's as intensely fruity as it is colorful. Whether you choose blueberries, raspberries, or cherries, it's a quick and easy alternative to ice cream for topping your favorite summer pie. Because the dehydrated fruit helps bind the cream, it's also super stable, making it an ideal frosting for layer cakes and cupcakes. You can even refrigerate it for up to a week without having to re-whip!
    Special equipment: Food processor
The exact volume of freeze-dried fruit can vary considerably by type and brand, so experimenting with fruits beyond those listed below is best done with a scale.
    Makes 2 cups
1/2 ounce freeze-dried blueberries, raspberries, or other fruit (1/2 cup; 15g)
    1 3/4 ounces sugar (1/4 cup; 50g)
16 ounces heavy whipping cream (2 cups; 455g)
In the bowl of a food processor, grind freeze-dried fruit and sugar until powdery and fine, about 1 minute. Add cream and stir with a fork to be sure no dry pockets of sugar/fruit are stuck in the corners, then pulse until thick and creamy like Greek yogurt, less than 2 minutes. The time will vary with the horsepower of your machine, so watch it like a hawk to avoid making fruity butter by mistake. Once mixture is thick and creamy, enjoy immediately or transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate up to 1 week. Total time: 5 minutes

    5-Minute Microwave Berry Cobbler
    From Domestic Fits, 2012
*The ratios used are for a large mason jar mug. Recipe will also make 2 servings in smaller mugs. Make sure to only fill the mug no more than 2/3 full or it will bubble over during cooking.
3/4 cup strawberries (can use frozen; lengthen cooking time somewhat), or reconstitute freeze dried fruit
    1/4 cup powdered sugar
    1/3 cup flour
    1 tablespoon white sugar
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    1 tablespoon butter
    2 tablespoons milk
Chop berries and add to a mug. Add powdered sugar, stir to combine.
In a separate bowl, add the flour, white sugar, baking powder and mix to combine.
Add the butter and rub in with your fingers until combined.
Add the milk and stir. Add the dough to the top of the berries (sprinkle with additional sugar, if desired).
Microwave on high for about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes. Allow to cool.

    these are perfect
As usual this product is a home run. Tasty, delicious and a healthy alternative to processed junk. This is our second order from NBT and we have not been disappointed in any of the items we ordered. We held off on ordering a large amount of fruit items due to the naturally high cost but every item we've tried has been well worth the expense. I just LOVE these peach slices - right out of the bag. We haven't had a chance to rehydrate them because they disappear too quickly around here. Great as a stand alone sweet treat!

I just ordered the big bag.
Ordered some FD mangos and added a small bag of these to my order--Oh my, they tasted awesome! And texture is perfect.
I have ordered FD peaches from here a few times before and had mixed results: one bag tasted great so ordered again--next bag was not so good (kind of bland tasting), so stuck with Mangos as my fav. Tried another time after, and they were ok, pretty good. But this bag/"batch", mmmmMMmmm was perfect, I want more

Freeze Dried Peaches

Easy to Prepare

  • Use dry as a healthy snack, as an addition to trail mixes, and as a crunchy topping for cereals and desserts.
  • For most other applications, hydrate by soaking for 5 minutes in a generous amount of cold or hot water (hot water works slightly better). Then drain.

Yield — 1 oz equals about 1 cup dry with very low moisture content.

Rehydration Ratio — 1 lb of freeze dried peaches, once rehydrated, equals approximately 9 lbs of fresh prepared sliced peaches.

Storage — Best if used within 24 months of purchase. Store tightly sealed while minimizing exposure to high humidity and heat.
