I'm a huge soup fan. I could live on the stuff, and plan to. This wild rice soup surprised me as being the most satisfying, wholesome soup ever, and no pasta. After adding your choice of stock and spice you will enjoy awesome, high quality soup.

    Great Base
Good soup base. Added cinnamon, fennel seed, star anise, and cloves, a spritz of blueberry bbq sauce then added corn chowder with pork hock flavoring. Love that it's not salty!

    Excellent
For the 1 lb bag, i used water, added a large can of cream of mushroom soup, chicken, and some minced garlic. My husband and I, and my in-laws absolutely loved it. My in-laws especially appreciated it because it was not salty and said that it was the first time anyone made soup where they didn't feel they had to drink a gallon of water afterwards. My husband added salt to his, and he was just as happy. I just placed another order, and I think I will add mushrooms to the next batch. P.S...The soup freezes great!

Creamy Wild Rice and Mushroom Soup
I made this soup today in my InstaPot. I put 8 cups of vegetable broth into pot along w a smoked pork hock for the smoke flavor. I then added 2 cups of the rice mix and put pot on soup for 45 minutes. After it was done I removed the pork and and added a mix of 1/2 corn starch to 2 cups milk blended in my blender. I also added 1 can Campbell’s cream of chicken and mushroom soup. Along w this I added 8 oz of mushrooms. After adding all this into the soup I put my IP on for 1 more minute and TaDa stir it all together and wow it was great. The pork hock just have it a smoked flavor which was great. And we are huge mushroom fans here. But I will forever keep these this soup on hand, I’m sold, it is great!!

Lots of wild rice, very good recipe. I added leftover cooked quinoa and couscous to it to add bulk, but it hardly needed it.

    Delish with soy curls!
We love this soup made with veg broth, a can of fire roasted tomatoes, bay leaves, fresh garlic and fire basil. Last 10 minutes of cooking add a cup of soy curls and it’s amazing!!

    Wonderful soup!
Made this delicious soup for the first time 2 days ago. Made it simply - with just broth then salt & pepper. Delicious and complex in flavor. (I’d read that it’s a good soup the 2nd day.) I like tomatoes in soup, so after thinking about if for the 2nd day added: tomatoes (or Rotel if you like things things spicier.), bay leaves, a wee bit more dried veggies- garlic, onion, cabbage, celery, carrots and green beans. Added just a bit of spice - 3/4 tsp sage, about 1 tsp thyme, maybe a half teaspoon rosemary, adjusted the S & P, added more water, and finally about half pound ground turkey. Oh my goodness!! Fabulous and totally different! I love the textures and especially the wild rice. For the 3rd version I’m curious to try something different and creamy. It was suggested above to add a cream soup. So i’ll try DIY Cream of Soup (1 recipe cream of chicken, and 1 recipe cream of mushroom) and leftover turkey or chicken. After Thanksgiving I canned the extra meat and bone broth I made, so perhaps that could be added. This is wonderful for a meal you don’t need to get groceries for. I made note on a recipe card. So far both recipes I’ve tried were company worthy. I’ve no doubt this soup is great however it’s prepared! Most delicious “mix” I’ve ever tried!
