Tart, Tart, Tart review by Steven

Extremely tart. Not a fruit which I will reorder.

different than fresh, but still tasty! review by an adventurous toddler

We've been using NBT freeze-dried fruits & veg as snacks for our daughter since a 22-day road trip last summer at age 1... highly recommend! We were able to use food to stave off bored toddler meltdowns WITHOUT making a huge mess in the car or feeding her nutritionless rice puffs for 3 weeks straight, and now at home I can give her an unprocessed snack with zero effort. We always have a couple little tupperware of freeze dried treats in the diaper bag. I'll be honest, none of the adults loved this kiwi. It's not sugar-sweet as I'm used to eating fresh. However, the babe LOVES it! It has a different texture, with the abundant but easily chewed seeds, than our other freeze-dried fruit, and the size is great for little hands. She was really into it around 16mo. Great source of vitamin C for cold & flu season, too!

Yuck! review by Bill

Tastes fishy! No fruity character at all. Will never buy again.

Very tart/sour review by Debbie

The product itself is very fresh and looks great but the taste is not very pleasant...if you are looking for normally sweet kiwi's then this is not what you want. I think I can find a way to incorporate them into something as a powder and disguise it.

Least favorite of all of your f/d fruit review by Edi

Trying to get rid of the large bag that I bought by rehydrating them with other things then processing the fruit with stevia. Won't buy again

great item review by Nursesnappy

As usual this product is a home run. Tasty, delicious and a healthy alternative to processed junk. This is our second order from NBT and we have not been disappointed in any of the items we ordered. We held off on ordering a large amount of fruit items due to the naturally high cost but every item we've tried has been well worth the expense. The kiwi is a bit tangy but that's what makes it so addictive!

Very sour but not awful review by Ritchie

If you are a fan of super sour candies, you might like these.
Taste is hard to describe, and has an extreme sour bite that kicks in after a couple seconds.
I won't order these again, but I eat all of my FD fruit from here straight out of the bag as a snack.
For any other purpose I'm sure they'd work just fine

Tart! review by hericane

I haven't tried rehydrating these, so I don't want to give them too low a rating. I believe that putting them in apple juice would make them very tasty. For such a dry, crispy item, they are surprisingly intact. They're a bit powdery, but it's like eating sour candy; some people may like that, but you can't eat too much at once.

Good review by jessica

These are another favorite in the house now, I'm still adjusting to the bite myself, and my boyfriend says its a 4 not a 5 because he likes the seeds.

Really sour. I'm not sure what to use these in. review by Sarah W.

I normally love kiwis; I always get the ones from New Zealand, and they seem to always be sweet. I've not really gotten any sour ones from there that I can recall. With the ones from Chile and other places, it's often hit or miss.... But, I can't get kiwis year round, and I was also hoping for a healthy snack. I got the small bag because I wasn't sure if it would be good or not, after reading reviews. These are really sour! Not just like a 'tart cherry' sour, but almost close to lemon sour. I'm not sure what to even use these in; for now they're going into smoothies with honey and strawberries.

sour but usable review by Jo and Wallace

I found the freeze dried kiwis sour by themselves but I make a fruit torte and I use them as is with other f/d fruits and then cover all of it with a simple syrup thickened with cornstarch. This rehydrated them enough without becoming soggy, and all the flavor is there. with strawberries, bananas, and kiwi it does not seem as sour.

not ripe enough review by MICHAEL

this kiwi was way too sour, as they used fruit that wasn't ripe enough to eat. The mango was great, though.

Wow! review by Laura

Wow, these Kiwi are tart. Not in a bad way. You certainly only need a few to add a ton of flavor.

Tastes like kiwi... review by Binky

I bought the kiwi thinking it would be sweet- I'm not sure where I came up with that, considering regular kiwi has a "kick" to it- a sour bite- and that's the way the freeze dried kiwi tastes; not bad, but like kiwi. I give it 4 stars instead of 5, comparing it to some of the other fruits I've bought that have a bit stronger flavor.
