North Bay Trading Company is a small family owned business that offers select natural foods to retailers, restaurants, and health conscious consumers throughout the United States.  Greggar Isaksen established the business in 1987.  Early operations focused on organic Canadian wild rice and marketing to upscale resorts.  In 1997, Borg Isaksen came onboard to manage sales and marketing.  The primary customer base became natural food stores with bulk departments.  North Bay increased its capacity to blend small batches of super healthy soups, as these sold well in the bulk bins. Thousand Lakes Food Company, a brand of North Bay Trading Co., began in 2006, for products made with Minnesota wild rice. In 2008, North Bay began to offer individual varieties of high quality air dried vegetables, many of which were already stocked for the bulk soups. Today these natural food items are found in high end natural food stores, food cooperatives, some restaurants, and, of course, here on this website.

Wholesale orders are our specialty!  We encourage natural food stores and resaurants to call so we can discuss the various ordering options.  Of course, e-commerce works too, and we can supply you with a wholesale login password, where you can complete orders online and access important documents.

Consumers are welcome to place orders on our website or email us for a store location near them.  We encourage buying in bulk and offer nice discounts to customers who select this option.
