Customer Reviews
I was initially hesitant about purchasing the freeze dried pomegranate because when I eat fresh arils, I often find the tiny seed inside each aril to be overly "peppery" to the point of bitterness. But I have read so much research recently about the health benefits of pomegranate, that I decided to give these a try. I’m glad I did. The flavor of the arils is a perfect balance of sweet and tart; they are very addictive. And there is no "peppery" bitterness from the tiny seed inside. But the best part is the texture: the arils have a very satisfying crunch, even more so than the North Bay blueberries and strawberries. Other freeze dried fruits I have tried tend to have the texture of a well-done piece of popcorn (i.e. somewhat chewy). But these arils have a crunchy exterior (like bran flakes) and the tiny seed inside provides and even harder crunch (like a baked poppy seed). Overall, I am very satisfied with these and I will probably order more. I just wish the price was a bit lower.
