Customer Reviews

Excellent product review by Gracie

These have a crunchy and slightly sour orange taste. We love them right out of the bag and haven't tried re-hydrating them. They are an excellent source of vitamin C for food storage. We started with a small bag but with the sale I'm going to order a large pack and reseal them for storage.

Yummm!! review by terrr

Almost like crunching on concentrated air bursts of orange essence. Very tasty and mostly sweet, less tart. Try some sprinkled on a spinach salad, or on some vanilla yogurt. Or eat them right out of the bag.

Wonderful! review by Shelly

These are so good! They have a tart yet sweetness to them. My husband and I just love them. My only complaint is they crumble very easily so powder in bag.

Good review by Ivie

The flavor is not as natural as the other F/D fruits products I have tried from this site. But I found that is hard to get when processing oranges. But I really enjoyed and can hardly wait to try it in my orange bread and cran-orange muffins, I will add some orange zest to brighten the flavor. I loved the texture and flavor. Had nice sweet-sour quality,

Pretty good review by Sheri

Well I will say personaly I'm not a huge fan of this product because they do have a sour taste to them, but I will say both of my children who hate "oranges" love these. Maybe because it does taste more like a candy then a fruit. So over all my kids get a healthy snack so it makes me a happy mom!

Freeze Dried Oranges

Easy to Prepare

  • Use dry as a healthy snack, as an addition to trail mixes, to make drinks, and as a crunchy topping for cereals and desserts.
  • For most other applications, hydrate by soaking for 5 minutes in a generous amount of cold or hot water (hot water works slightly better). Then drain.

Yield — 1 oz equals about 3/4 cup dry with very low moisture content.

Storage — Best if used within 24 months of purchase. Store tightly sealed while minimizing exposure to high humidity and heat.
