Look forward to using! review by Cindy

I just started buying some dried fruits and veggies. These look great and have a very fresh green bean flavor right out of the bag.
CookieH; your soup sounds great! Would you mind posting the recipe? I would love to have ideas of how to use my yummy new veggies!
Chemist mom; I appreciate your VERY helpful input of how many buckets/jars you got from your orders.

Love it! review by CookieH

I live in a rural, often snowed in, area. My taste buds didn't like Cambells or Progresso's Vegetarian Veg. Soup. Along with other products, the green beans were so tasty and stayed true to form like fresh! Along with the beans, corn, peas, carrots, tomatoes and the powder, some northern beans, barley onion, celery ... OMG! I made 5 quarts that my roommate slurped through in 2 days leaving me with one bowl but it was lovely and your products are better than I thought and better than other vendors with whose products I am familiar. Kudos to you!!! Thanks for putting out products that perform like fresh!

Versatile and tasty! review by Home cooking lady

I've tossed these beans into canned or homemade soups, stews, once in a mashed potato casserole when I "oops" too much liquid. They re-hydrated fine and were really good! I've even eaten them as TV snacks.

Awesome! review by new veggie lover

Healthiest snack I ever crunched on. The product tasted like fresh picked string beans but had the crunchy texture of chips. Have to admit that I never re-hydrated any from two bags I ordered, because they are good right out of the bag. I ate them to satisfy the crunch texture desire with meals, or in salads, or as a TV snack.

Just like frozen green beans review by chemist mom

This product exceeded my expectations, which were already pretty high, after looking at the picture above. They look just as good delivered as they do in the picture, and the flavor is great even eaten "as is", as enthusiastically tested by my very picky 3-year old and my 2-year old. When re-hydrated, the beans have the aroma, texture and flavor of frozen green beans. I am very happy to have found this product, because I like frozen green beans better than canned green beans, and I have lost all my substantial inventory of frozen green beans twice due to power outages. Now I have a shelf-stable product, and can re-hydrate as little as one bean, or enough for a steam table pan full, with no waste. A note on density: the 15 pound-bulk box filled 5 of the standard-sized 6-gallon buckets with the inside also containing a ziploc mylar bag, and I had 8 quart jars left over to put directly into the cupboard.

Freeze Dried Green Beans

Easy to Prepare

  • Use dry as a snack and as an addition to veggie trail mixes.
  • Use dry for a crunchy effect in salads and, while serving, cooked rice and cooked pasta.
  • Add dry during the last 5 or so minutes of cooking soups and stews that have sufficient broth.
  • For most other applications, hydrate by soaking for 5 minutes in a generous amount of cold or hot water (hot water works slightly better). Then drain.

Yield — 1 oz equals about 1-3/4 cups dry with less than 4% moisture content. Fresh weight replacement ratio is 1 to 11 (freeze dried to fresh prepared).

Storage — Tastes best if used within 24 months of purchase. Store tightly sealed and minimize exposure to heat and humidity.
