Customer Reviews

Love this product! review by Elaine

This freeze dried broccoli is great to have on hand -- you'll never need fresh again! And no waste. Seriously, I use these so much -- in stratas, casseroles, and soups, these are simply fantastic. Far superior quality to any other FD broccoli I've tried. Definitely worth having for long term storage or pantry convenience.

Awesome product! review by LW

The freeze dried broccoli tastes great and is very economical. I love that I will never have to waste anymore broccoli or add it to the compost. I'll use only what I need, when I need it. This will be great to have on hand for casseroles and soups. Beats frozen broccoli for sure!

Fantastic snack! review by Sally

The freeze dried broccoli and freeze dried cauliflower are my favorite snack foods! They are so good that I now have several co-workers who have me place orders for them too.

Excellent review by Sue

This broccoli tasted like fresh but there's no waste or mess. It's much better than frozen in my opinion. Just add dried onion and freeze dried broccoli to brown or wild rice and it's a wonderful side dish.

Freeze Dried Broccoli Buds and Stems

Easy to Prepare

  • Use alone as a dry snack or add to veggie trail mixes.
  • Use dry for a crunchy effect in salads and, while serving, cooked rice and cooked pasta.
  • Add dry during the last 5-10 minutes of cooking soups and stews that have sufficient amounts of broth.
  • For most other applications, hydrate by soaking for 5 to 10 minutes in a generous amount of cold or hot water (hot water works slightly better). Then drain.

Yield — 1 oz equals just over 1-1/2 cups dry with less than 4% moisture content.

Rehydration Ratio — 1 lb of freeze dried broccoli, once rehydrated, equals approximately 13 lbs of fresh prepared broccoli.

Storage — Best if used within 24 months of purchase. Store tightly sealed and minimize exposure to heat and humidity.
